Here are the nominees for the 80th Academy Awards. That is of course, in the hopes that they will actually happen and not go the same way the Golden Globes went... Or in Nikki Finke's words: "it seems so futile to focus attention on the Academy Awards right now when we don't know if there'll even be a real Oscars.".
